About Us
The Whānau Community Trust is a not-for-profit registered charity.
Located in Mount Roskill, Tamaki-Makaurau-Auckland, Aotearoa-New Zealand - the Trust is home to over 20 groups and organisations, that are part of the Whānau Community Centre & Hub.
And the Whānau Hub co-ordinates and hosts several Collectives, Groups and Associations, and manages a Community Directory.
Many events are held and supported at the Hub throughout the year, to enhance the well-being and cultural identity of Groups and Communities.
Programmes are supported in Partnership with New Zealand Government agencies, Auckland City Council, and Community Funding organisations.
Consultancy and Advisory Services are offered to advocate for and support social justice, education, financial capability, innovation, climate programmes, and social enterprise.
Education programmes include financial literacy, home ownership, digital learning, online security awareness, and media training.
The Trust works to connect families and groups (whānau), and supports them to work together, for the betterment of our Communities and Nations.
"Our goal is to enhance the health, education and economic well-being of our whānau (families and communities), elderly and children.
We take a holistic community approach - and provide support and services for children, teenagers, adults – and all the way to seniors.
We help with social services, educational workshops, language & culture classes, seniors support, food parcels, financial well-being programmes, home ownership, media training, leadership programmes, media publications, health & fitness, children's activities, innovation projects, climate programmes, social enterprise, community advocacy, and consultancy services.
If you need some friendly, caring support, no matter what your age, background or ethnicity, you will find it with us!
And if we cannot help you directly, we will try and find a partner or agency that can.
We are part of the Community. We are here to support you".
